As autumn turns into winter our thoughts (well some of us) turn to Christmas cake making and ordering your tree! We officially start taking orders on 1st November but if you are going away and want to order one sooner, we can take your order now. It’s one less thing to do at this busy time of the year.
As you are all aware, there are a number of traffic schemes in and around Dulwich; let us take the strain away of driving/sitting in a jam and let us deliver a tree on your chosen day.
As usual you can submit your Christmas tree order online; just go on to www.alleynpark.co.uk and follow the link on the home page. Once we receive your details, we will give you a call to take payment and arrange a convenient delivery day.
We only supply premium grade trees; they are bushier, more well balanced and have less big gaps between the branches and as usual, we whittle down the tree trunks to fit into a stand. We can’t think of many other retailers who will routinely offer this service.
If you order and pay for your tree in November, you’ll get 10% off the full price and benefit from free delivery within our local area. From 1st December onwards the discount will not apply and there will also be a delivery charge applicable.

Wreaths, Table Arrangements and Cut Flowers
Wreaths will be available towards the end of November and table decorations will start in the first half of December. These are hand decorated by us in many different styles and colours, but you can also buy a plain pine ring and decorate it yourself. We will have a lovely selection of cut flowers and foliage from the end of November for your holiday displays and for wreath-making.
If you would like a larger sized wreath this year, do get in touch early as there is a limited supply of these, and they do take time to be made up. The largest is 18” in diameter but will ultimately work out to about 24” across once decorated.
Plants
If you haven’t tidied up your summer pots already, it’s a great time to add some colour for autumn – it’s lovely to have something beautiful to look at from inside your home.
Do remember that before the first frosts hit, protect any tender plants in the garden by covering them with fleece (which we sell by the metre) or moving them into a shed or greenhouse.
Gifts and decorations
There are some really beautiful baubles in the shop this year in a striking range of colours and textures; also, some cosy lights such as the Starburst and Pom Pom Chains.
Our shop is scented with the wonderful St Eval range of candles made in Cornwall. Figgy Pudding is a new one for us this year and is a very evocative mix of orange zest, cloves, sweet vanilla musk and fig. These are very useful gifts if you can’t think of what to buy a tricky friend!
While you’re here choosing your Christmas tree, take home a bag or two of hardwood or olive wood so that you can sit outside with family and friends sipping a hot chocolate or perhaps something stronger! Pop in to see Santa’s sleigh (full size!) – you are welcome to have photos inside, but children must be supervised by an adult.
