Summer 2023

Now that the weather seems to have finally turned and the days are pleasingly long and warm, our thoughts are turning to our gardens and the job of sprucing up our pots and borders. Last year’s extreme weather conditions meant that many of us have lost special plants and will have to replace them so please do come and see us to get some inspiration. Think of it as an opportunity to try something new!

We have many deliveries arriving every week and the tables are groaning with beautiful plants. The pictures below will hopefully give you a brief snapshot of what’s in at this time of the year.

Alleyn Park Geranium Fireworks
Alleyn Park Osteospermum

Our wonderful Sussex growers are excelling yet again with lovingly raised plants that are ready and tough enough to be planted out now. Pictured above are Geranium Fireworks and Osteospermum.

Alleyn Park Dicentra
Alleyn Park Hosta

Our shade tables have an amazing selection of plants that will thrive in those conditions. Once you get interested in shade plants, you will find some very exquisite examples, such as Dicentra alba, Hosta June, Pulmonaria Shrimps on the Barbie, all shown above.

Alleyn Park Houseplants

The houseplant shed is stocked with a range of glorious plants like the amazing Calathea and Begonia with wonderful crinkly thick leaves.

Alleyn Park Vegetables

Our tomatoes, veg strips and herbs are flying out now. Come and get yours before they’re gone! We still have an offer of 4 veg pots for £8 and 3 strips for £10.

Alleyn Park Lara Cards

We have more gorgeous cards from local artist Lara Oztekin. These are inspired by nature and a love of houseplants and we are delighted to be stocking a small selection again.

We’re looking forward to seeing you very soon.
Rob and the team.
